Job Description SummaryAs a Post Doctoral Researcher, you will work with GE Vernova Advanced Research, GEV Business, and external customers to define, build, and execute strategic research and development programs focused in AI and Machine Learning aligned with our Digital Industrial vision.As a GE Vernova accelerator, GE Vernova Advanced Research is driving strategy and leading research & development efforts to execute on the business’s mission to power the energy transition. Collectively, these research programs and initiatives aim to solve near term technical challenges, deliver next generation product advances, and drive long term breakthrough innovation to enable more affordable, reliable, sustainable, and secure energy.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:• Work with teams of researchers on new and continuing projects• Develop software solutions for the application of Machine Learning to medical and industrial data• Implement and analyze prototypes and solutions for real-world problems• Employ software libraries, tools, and practices to implement efficient, scalable, and reusable solutions• Create intellectual property by writing invention disclosures and filing patentsQualifications/Requirements:• MS + 2 years experience or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with a focus on Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence• Demonstrated ability to write Python code• Candidate must be willing to travel a minimum of 2 weeks per year• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus.
