Generative AI Lead

What You’ll Do:
As the Generative AI Architect for the Product Engineering organization, you will play a lead role in defining generative AI architecture and use, for Teradata products. Come play a key role that will be influential and instrumental in driving Teradata Products Generative AI vision, strategy, and architecture.

Core Responsibilities:
Champion, oversee, and unlock broad GenAI usage across all product areas.
Define and lead technology proof of concepts with partners.

Drive the review of GenAI prototypes and POCs conducted from distributed engineering teams to ensure they are aligned to learning and delivery roadmap.
Partner with other architects, engineers and partners to develop AI/ML strategies, reference architectures, and patterns for GenAI use cases.
Coordinate and collate feedback from across engineering to clearly communicate current actions, successes, and strategies to key stakeholders, including customer, peer teams, and leadership.
Play a key role in defining the AI architecture and selecting appropriate technologies from a pool of open-source and commercial offerings.
Work closely with security and risk leaders to foresee and overturn risks.
Be a change agent to help the organization adopt an AI-driven mindset.

Track the macro-AI technical shifts - inside and outside Teradata - to ensure the appropriate engineering teams are consistently aware of major trends, implementations, and learnings
Research and experiment with state-of-the-art generative AI models, architectures, and frameworks to advance the capabilities of our systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using generative AI techniques.

Who You’ll Work With:
You will partner with leadership and architects across our portfolio to unlock generative AI opportunities for Teradata and our customers. This role will report to the VP, Software Engineering.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of related experience in computer science, engineering, or related field

• or- Master’s degree plus 8 years of related experience
• or- Ph.D. plus 6 years of related experience

Exposure to Gen AI techniques and understanding of use cases
Strong proven Software Engineering and DevSecOps experience
Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud
Experienced with large scale technology platforms

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Proven partnership with cross-functional teams like Architecture, Law, Security, and IT to drive discovery and delivery of large-scale solution implementations.
