Responsibility
Skills
· Post Secondary Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent degree with listed years of experience.
· 3 to 5 years health and safety/environmental (experience with ISO 14001) experience in a manufacturing (preferably automotive) environment with knowledge of light assembly operations and polyurethane molding operations. Strength in Health and Safety but must have a “grounding” in environmental areas of waste(RCRA), air (permitting process) and Community Right to Know. (EPCRA)
· Experience as liaison with state OSHA and Environmental Protection personnel. Facility contact for these regulatory bodies.
· Strong knowledge of ergonomic principles and their practical implement.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Be seen as a positive facility team member and at the same time as a respected “expert/leader” in the HS&E area. ( “Hands On” when needed and “Technical Resource” at other times.)
· Assertive, goal oriented highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of urgency for HS&E integration and project/issue completion.
· Relies on judgment and exper. to accomp. pers. and facility HS&E goals.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and recognize priorities.
· Must be comfortable and effective in conducting HS&E training.
· Must become (if not already) certified in First Aid/CPR and AED use
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
