  • Digital Engagement: Oversee the rollout and management of the Blink app, maximising its use as a real-time engagement tool for our remote workforce.
  • Team Management: Mentor and manage a small communications team, ensuring output is timely, relevant, and aligned with company standards.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives that enhance employee voice, motivation, and connection, including campaigns, feedback mechanisms, and internal events.
  • Internal Recruitment Support: Promote internal opportunities and career progression through structured communication campaigns, working closely with the Recruitment Team.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track the effectiveness of communication initiatives and provide regular updates to senior management on key issues and workforce sentiment.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with HR, Operations, and Go-Ahead Group Communications to ensure a joined-up approach to messaging and engagement activities.
  • Platform Management: Oversee the Rewards Gateway communications, ensuring employees are informed and encouraged to access available benefits.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven ability to develop and execute communications strategies with measurable impact.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams or projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in digital communication platforms and tools, including apps such as Blink.
  • Experience engaging remote or frontline workers, particularly in operational environments.

Qualifications

Desirable:

  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the transport sector or a similarly operational industry.
  • Familiarity with recruitment communication and employer branding.
