As a Lead Product Manager of the Travel Team you will play a key role in shaping the future of Going through building 0-1 product for the Going mobile app. Your focus will be on uncovering customer pain points, testing hypotheses, and translating insights into actionable product strategies and experiences that drive material business impact in the form of new paying members.
You are ambitious, with a honed product intuition, eager to dig into the travel problem space understanding the unique position Going has as a subscription product. You invest the least to learn the most. You are able to identify major assumptions and risks up front in order to build clear hypotheses for iterative learning.
As a key player in shaping our product vision, you’ll not only own your roadmap, but you proactively share lessons learned with others, so that the mistakes we collectively make are only new ones.
We’re a remote first company, so to be successful, you are comfortable with ambiguity, autonomy, and thinking through complexity in a way that results in clear and concise outcomes to the cross functional organization.
You’ll work with a talented team of full stack engineering, design and data science who expect you to use data and experimentation to guide your decisions, balancing risk-taking with the need to deliver impactful results in short cycles. Aside from your direct squad you’re exceptionally comfortable thinking about the go to market application of your products, partnering with Marketing, PR and Member Success.
We have some ambitious goals, but that's never stopped someone like you (or us)!
This is a huge opportunity to join a special (we’re bootstrapped and profitable) company at a key inflection point to surpass our members’ expectations and take their experience to new heights.
This role will report to the VP of Product.
Start-up & 0-1 Mentality: You have a track record of optimizing existing product lines, and building new, revenue-generating ones from the ground-up iteratively for consumer facing apps within a start-up environment.
Ownership & Accountability: You do whatever it takes to move the team forward. You are laser focused on understanding, refining, and articulating the problem your team is solving, whether its big or small.
Go Deep: When needed, you sweat the technical details, using them to enhance your strategic problem solving skills.
Data Driven: You are hungry to dive into customer and business data to inform your decision making, or prioritize data where there are gaps. You invest the least to learn the most. You are able to identify major assumptions and risks up front in order to build clear hypotheses for iterative learning.
Simplifying Complexity: You value clarity over verboseness. You strive to be efficient in all ways, from your daily cross-functional communication to the product experiences you bring to life.
Big Picture Thinking: You are able to develop products that tie together member opportunities and what is most strategically sound for the business for the end to end product journey.
No Ego: You work backwards from the business and customer goals, going where the data tells you to prioritize impactful outcomes. You don’t blur the lines between product intuition and personal biases.
