Job DescriptionSenior Tax AccountantA well-respected CPA firm in the area is looking to add a Senior Tax Accountant to their team. This stable and growing firm offers their clients valuable knowledge and expertise in tax. Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant to join a team of highly motivated staff.Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities:• Prepared and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax laws and regulations.• Perform exceptional technical work with the highest standards or quality.• Collaborate with Tax and CAS Managers to proactively identify tax-saving opportunities and accounting solutions for clients.• Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services.• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.• Be proactive in communicating to the Tax Manger the needs and/or issues of the tax department.• Stay current with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, and industry trends to enhance quality and effectiveness.Senior Tax Accountant Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting• CPA Certified, Testing, or Studying (Preferred)• 3+ years of proven experience in public accounting• Must have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client services.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.• Commitment to upholding professional ethics and integrity in all aspects of the job.• Strong knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code.Job Type: Full-timePay: $60,000-100,000Education:• Bachelor's degree in accounting (Required)Experience:• Tax experience: 3+ years (Required)License/Certification:• CPA License (Preferred)Work Location: Remote / Hybrid / On-SightIf you are interested in connecting further about any level opportunity within public accounting, please apply here or email Kasee Hetland directly with any questions at kasee.hetland@gogpac.com or Call/Text (605) 501-4726.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
