Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team during a crucial phase of company growth and transition. As our company is in the process of being acquired, we need additional support for month-end close processes, integration with the acquiring company, and financial statement audits. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:- Manage and execute month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
- Assist in the integration of financial systems and processes with the acquiring company.
- Provide support for financial statement audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper allocation of revenues and expenses.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to assist management in decision-making.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting as required during the transition and post-integration phases.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close processes, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with financial system integration and audit support is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
