Analytics Engineer (Remote)

The Role

Gridwise is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Analytics Engineer to join our Gridwise Analytics product engineering team to help evolve our analytics solutions to address new customer use cases and overcome challenging technical problems as we continue to scale our platform.

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of new analytics capabilities, products, and operational tooling for our Gridwise Analytics platform. You will research and execute on new product and technical innovations that will unlock new value for customers and further entrench Gridwise Analytics as the market leader in gig mobility insights.

What you're responsible for

Collaborate within the Gridwise Analytics product and engineering team to design, implement, and launch new software solutions, analytics dashboards, and data delivery systems
Research strategies and develop solutions for integration of Gridwise data into customer BI tools and stacks
Contribute to the definition and standardization of our analytics data models and expand insights capabilities
Own and maintain BI and data visualization tools for internal stakeholder use (Looker, Kepler, etc.)
Test, monitor, and report on Gridwise source data health and quality
Conduct exploratory data analysis and data anomaly investigations, and communicate findings clearly to a broad range of internal stakeholders

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience working on analytics software or data products
Strong proficiency in Python
Strong proficiency in SQL and query optimization best practices
Proficiency in Looker application/model development and experience with other popular BI tools and stacks (Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience working with data modeling tools such as dbt
Experience deploying and maintaining production services in cloud environments
Strong attention to detail with a propensity for well structured code and rigorous testing and QA practices
Must be willing to work US hours (ET)

Exceptional candidates may have

Proficiency in full-stack or frontend web development
Experience working with large geospatial datasets and map-based visualizations
Experience with Google Cloud’s data products and technologies, particularly Big Query
Prior high-growth startup experience
