Groundskeeper Worker - Elgin, Texas

Express Employment Professionals is searching for a Groundskeeper Worker in the ELGIN Area.

Qualified candidates should have:

• 6 months -1 year of experience in groundskeeping or related roles
• General Labor experience

Responsibilities include:

• Will work as a member of a crew and follow directions of crew leader and superintendent.
• Responsible for maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor space.
• Mows lawns, trim weeds, bushes, shrubs, and rakes leave as assigned.
  Picks up and removes trash prior to mowing a designated area.
• Empties trash; picks up litter in the downtown district as assigned.
• May plant, water, prune flowers, shrubs, and trees in parks and downtown.
• Applies fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
• Performs routine maintenance on power equipment.
• Assist with city-sponsored event set up and clean up as assigned.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday
7:00 am - 4:00 pm
In the heat of summer, hours may change to 6:00 am – 3:00 pm

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.
• Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
