Job Summary:
Support Permian Asset Team forecast and reconciliation of overall asset performance primarily focused on production, capital and operating expenses. Responsible for setting annual budget, quarterly guidance and submitting corporate loaders to corporate finance. Position requires coordination with all groups within the asset team as well as numerous groups outside the asset team.
Job Duties:
  • Handles Sinochem JV budget and planning responsibilities
  • Generate monthly Sinochem cash call, capital and production reconciliation
  • Manage annual JV Budget process and participate in monthly/quarterly JV meetings
  • Production forecasting and modelling including scenarios and reconciliation
  • Identify and evaluate near-term variances in production performance vs. forecast
  • Capital forecasting and modelling including scenarios and reconciliation
  • Develop and support tools, templates for production analysis and reporting; streamline/automate critical business processes (e.g., Spotfire, SQL, Alteryx)
  • Collaborate with IOPS to evaluate schedule change requests and development plans compared to previous scenarios
  • Coordination and partnership with asset team groups including Ops, Facilities, SPFD, Marketing and others as needed
  • Performs other/additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum) required for engineers
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data
  • Proficient use of Excel, Spotfire, and SQL preferred; candidate must be willing to learn new tools, applications, and concepts as a part of personal development
  • Must foster positive relationships with coworkers outside immediate team
  • Must be able to work independently to perform complex analyses, demonstrate initiative and ambition to learn and take on additional tasks
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, be well organized and have good people skills
