About the Job

The Group Director Supply Chain Planning & Order Management Director is responsible for providing both strategic and tactical leadership and to drive “best in class’ customer service performance by optimizing inventory levels, service levels (internal and external), inventory management (excess & obsolete). The person will also be responsible for the efficient E2E flow of product from supplier to customers, ensuring clear communication of gaps / misses and planning remediation, work with customers and internal business partners to optimize our order-to-delivery cycle times

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the supply chain planning team inclusive of all facets of supply planning ensuring all KPIs including inventory levels, minimization of excess & obsolete, customer service, and business plans are met and/or exceeded
  • Primary regional liaison with global supply chain teams, focusing on collaboration and supply availability because of demand variability, and process alignment across supply function
  • Lead of the domestic Transportation function – Management of shipments of products to point of sales, ensuring traceability and conformity necessary documentation, spearhead continuous improvement programs.
  • Support the business through being the lead Supply Chain representative for cross-functional projects by providing operational insights, recommendations, and ad-hoc analysis as needed
  • Lead identification and prioritization of value-added activities that contribute to the growth and cost effectiveness of the business. Lead the team to successful implementation (e.g. consignment, assembly, SAB rollout, ecom internalization, CSR, etc.)
  • Ability to anticipate and communicate supply risks and/or interruptions to the business inclusive of providing communication to marketing and sales whilst concurrently working on remediation plans to minimize loss of sales
  • Build strategies to support new product launches inclusive of retail and shipment scenarios, safety stock models, and E&O risks to the business
  • Builds and maintains strong, positive, and collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders in Operations, Divisions (Heads of department) and Corporate teams.
  • Ensures operational adherence to the plan (timely processing and/or flow of orders, adherence to budgets, etc.) and communicates issues impacting product availability and/or financial budgets.
  • Share best practices and actively contributes to process improvement. Utilizes LEAN and responsive working methodologies (as applicable) through problem solving and process improvement activities.

Position Logistics:
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of the Supply Chain – warehousing / distribution center operations, logistics, production, procurement, planning, forecasting, inventory management, etc.
  • Leadership - Ability to attract, develop and retain top talent.
  • Change leadership: Experience leading through significant change & transformation to move an organization forward in a strategic and financially responsible way.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and work efficiently within a cross functional matrix organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to listen, negotiate, lead and communicate with retailers.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-starter, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and systems acumen.

Minimum Education: BA/BS required, in Supply Chain Management or related quantitative discipline.

Minimum Years of Experience: minimum 5-7 years operational/planning experience, preferably in the luxury, retail space with 3 years forecasting, buying, inventory planning, sales, or related complimentary field

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $133,900 through $150,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits and perks.

Compensation
  • Base salary, bonus potential and other forms of variable pay [may/will be] offered for this position
