Ideal Candidate:
The ideal Group Leader is an individual that is passionate about working with elementary-aged students and building relationships. They maintain a positive attitude while at work and take initiative to problem solve when necessary. Group Leaders are creative individuals that are able to add their personal touch to daily activities in a way that stays in alignment with daily core objectives. They show up on time and ready to work, are flexible team players with a drive for self-improvement.

Role:
The role of a Group Leader is to provide positive role models to students enrolled in Rise. Group Leaders foster an environment that is safe, welcoming and exciting. Under the direction of the Site Leader and Program Coordinator, Group Leaders interact with students from the time they leave their last class of the day and check into Rise. They build positive relationships with students, parents, fellow Group Leaders and members of Movement School. They ensure that students are engaging in scheduled activities by demonstrating excitement and being fully involved in the activities.

Responsibility:

• Maintain a safe and exciting atmosphere for students that are enrolled in Rise.
• Present activities and curriculum in a way that keeps students engaged and participating.
• Know the expectations that Rise has for students and ensure that students are adhering.
• Love, value, engage, and when necessary redirect students at all times during the program.
• Build positive and appropriate relationships with students.
• Tutor students during Classroom Connections.
• Ensure that spaces are kept clean and organized.
• Implement the daily curriculum as provided by the Site Leader and/or Program Coordinator
• Assume any other duties as assigned by the Rise leadership team

  Sample Shift Hours:

Monday: 2:30pm-6:30pm
Tuesday: 2:30pm-6:30pm
Wednesday: 11:30am-6:30pm
Thursday: 2:30pm-6:30pm
Friday: 2:30pm-6:30pm

Availability:
Group leaders are required to be available a minimum of 3 days a week, and must work at least two shifts per week. Availability is submitted at the beginning of the semester for each group leader.
