On behalf of Asahi, GT is looking for an Azure Data Architect to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and controlling our data architecture to ensure optimal business usability, performance, security, and scalability. An additional responsibility is to help to define and embed data engineering and architecture best practices and standards for our medallion and data mesh architecture. You will work closely with technical and business teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions that drive business success. You will also learn about our fantastic business and be able to greatly impact our business transformation data and analytics initiatives.  

Responsibilities:

• Gather data models for business and technical requirements and design data models in collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

• Establish data engineering and data architecture standards. Create/update standards playbooks. • Design and develop robust data architecture solutions that support business and technical requirements and objectives.

• Implement data models and pipelines using Microsoft stack following a medallion architecture and a data mesh pattern.

• Enforce standards and check delivery is as per specifications.

• Collate lessons learned and embed data architecture continuous improvement, potentially training people.

• Support the development and enforcement of data governance policies.

• Recommend data model optimization.

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:

• Ownership and self-starter mindset.

• Experience in doing data work for CPG or Retail companies and knowledge of their key commercial or supply chain KPIs is a must. Experience in alcobev industry is an asset.

• Excellent business problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to articulate technical solutions in business language, raise constructively project risks and issues, and provide internal or partner resources coaching and training.

• Ability to work efficiently with offshore and partnership models.

• Strong knowledge of data modeling, integration techniques, and datalakes.

• Solid hands-on experience as a Data Architect and hands-on Data Engineering experience.

• Solid experience in handling heterogeneous sources and master data.

• Solid hands-on experience in both medallion and data mesh architecture and best practices. • Solid hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and data ops.

• Full proficiency in Azure data factory, synapse, databricks SQL, pyspark. etc.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in Azure Fabric or Dataiku is an asset.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is an asset.

Location: This role is mostly remote however being based in Warsaw, Poznan, Prague or Plzen is an asset. The ability to travel and participate in on-site workshops on demand is required.
