Job Family:Software Development & Support (Digital)Travel Required:NoneClearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:• Participate in project meetings with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand data specific needs.• Analyze data systems, entity relationships and system interfaces to detect data patterns, anomalies, and trends to develop business requirements.• Develop and generate data queries for data extractions and or transformations.• Analyze and develop data conversion/migration mapping logic.• Develop algorithms, scripts, predictive analytics; use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn disparate data sets into comprehensive information.• Assist with query optimization and troubleshooting of database related issues. Work closely with DBA and Development teams to optimized SQL code.• Create & maintain technical documentation including analytical design and approaches diagrams, data transformations, data migration mapping and data summations.• Generate data views and reports to support end users visualize results and conduct self-directed analysis; leverage presentation expertise, to present complex information to non-technical audiences.• Participate in team agile tasks and sessions.What You Will Need:• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree• Strong knowledge of programming, creating, and modifying SQL queries.• Minimum FOUR (4) years of experience with data mining, optimization, statistics, and graph-based algorithms; data manipulation and scripting; translating design mockups to develop rich report visualizations.• Knowledge of R and Python.• Strong communication (verbal and written) and listening skills.• Ability to collaborate and strong interpersonal skills.What Would Be Nice To Have:• Master’s degree in data science, data analytics field.• Experience working for NIH or HHS Agency.• Knowledge of AWS.• Knowledge of Azure.• Familiarity with GitHub and Docker tools.• Knowledge of generative AI and Large Language models.The annual salary range for this position is $100,200.00-$150,200.00.
