Overview

Harbor Foodservice is a locally owned and operated food distributor serving independent restaurants and businesses across the Pacific Northwest. We’re passionate about delivering quality, building trusted relationships, and helping our customers and team members thrive.

 

We’re looking for a motivated and curious Summer Intern to join our team in Kent, WA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work across departments and support the onboarding experience for our new customers and sales team members. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, Procurement, and Customer Service to evaluate what’s working, identify gaps, and help us build better tools, resources, and experiences for those just starting with Harbor, both customers and new Sales team members!

 

Work Schedule: Typically, in the office Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; however, some days will involve working in the field or territories. The pay is $20.00

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across the organization to improve and document the onboarding journeys for both new customers and new sales team members• Review current onboarding materials and processes, gathering feedback to identify strengths and areas for improvement• Help create new tools, resources, and welcome kits that could range from how-to guides to internal training decks• Participate in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and planning conversations with leaders from all departments• Conduct basic research and assist with light project coordination• Support special projects and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field• Clear and confident communicator• Comfortable working independently and in a team• Highly organized and detail-oriented• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Curious, creative, and eager to contribute
