Hey I'm JT, the Head of Football Operations here at Hawk-Eye. I'm looking for a Tech Ops Lead to join my team and drive the technical delivery and growth of our systems. The Technical Operations Lead will be the conduit between Product and Live Operations. You will work closely with the global Product team from system design through to implementation to ensure the best product is being developed from both an internal and external perspective. You will also be responsible for ensuring a smooth rollout of new systems and the continued maintenance of current systems to guarantee the highest level of operational delivery. This role will be heavily involved in setting up cloud infrastructure and workflows.
Creating effective software testing workflows
Ensuring documentation is produced to educate the wider operational team
Communicating feedback from both internal and external stakeholders on any software improvements
Communicating internally on the status of any development-related items
Staying up to date on the latest software and driver versions AND ensuring that they are rolled out in an effective manner
Troubleshooting and resolving software issues
Ensuring relevant data is collected and fed back for issue resolution
Creating effective troubleshooting procedures across the business
Work with the Live Operations team to test and roll out new software and driver versions
Share workflows with the global business
Work with the project team to ensure that appropriate hardware is procured
Work in Live Ops room to:
Aide in issue resolution – software troubleshooting, disaster recovery, etc.
Educate Supervisors/Operators on best practices for data investigation / issue resolution live.
Highlighting areas of technical improvement for Tier 1 Operators/Scrubbers.
Helping to build/implement training around these areas of improvement.
Constantly looking to improve data quality by identifying and investigating anomalies and edge cases.
Manage cloud-based workflows alongside the UK DevOps team.
A strong technical grounding in networking, video/ audio signal flows and other relevant technical fields
Understanding of Cloud frameworks
Strong analytical, problem solving and prioritization skills
Proactive attitude and ability to work on your own initiative
Ability to work under pressure
Time management skills
