Head of Finance

About the Role

Creatd is looking for a Head of Finance to assist the CFO in helping to oversee and direct the company's financial operations. The Head of Finance will directly support the CFO of Creatd. The ideal candidate is a self-starter that can think outside the box, anticipate the CFO’s needs, and can take initiative without being led down a particular path.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the CFO in overseeing accounting operations, including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, tax preparation, and financing and M&A transactions

• Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets; Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management

• Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting; Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles

• Prepare consolidated financial statements for monthly and quarterly closes

• Prepare equity related workpapers and accruals for monthly and quarterly closes

• Partner with the CFO and Controller on the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and registration statements

• Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management; Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking

• Preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns for Creatd, Inc. and its subsidiaries

• Managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes

• Other finance and administrative duties as required

What You’ll Need

• Degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• Experience in a finance/accounting role

• Experience in M&A and Cryptocurrency strongly preferred

• CPA required

• Strong communication and time management skills

• A high sense of urgency and ability to multitask

• Mac iOS proficiency and technical knowledge of G-Suite required; experience with Notion, Slack and Spreadsheets preferred
