Description

Reporting to the President, the Head of Health & Risk Solutions will enable Granular to disrupt the status quo and change the healthcare landscape by building a cutting edge cost containment, clinical risk management, and network strategy organization within a fast growing, innovative insurtech startup.

You will work to develop the culture, strategy, tools, team and partnerships that will enable Granular to help our clients identify opportunities for better healthcare outcomes and reduce overall costs. You will also design and lead a best in class clinical risk management and cost containment organization with a team of innovative clinical risk management and cost containment professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive clinical insights and decision support through Granular's risk signal data.
  • Manage the partner and point solution credentialing and ROI evaluation process and evolve the methodology to better meet Granular's goals.
  • Identify strategic clinical risk management, cost containment, and alternative payment partners, engaging, establishing relationships and managing performance of these partners. Function as Granular's subject matter expert on provider networks, network contracting, and alternative pricing/payment methodologies.
  • Develop a program to effectively monitor and report on savings and effectiveness of clinical risk management and cost containment strategies. Identify cost containment opportunities through systematic analysis of claims and utilization data.
  • Function as Granular's subject matter expert for all things related to clinical risk management cost containment, representing Granular in client and partner meetings and discussions. Create and implement strategies to realize savings and cost containment opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience leading clinical risk management, cost containment, medical management, and provider contracting functions in the stop-loss and/or self-funded employee benefits space.
  • Proven experience managing an organizational and operational program to achieve strategic goals.
  • Highly collaborative working style that engages stakeholders and SMEs at every level to produce positive results, directly contributing to project deliverables along the way.
  • Analytical, solutions-minded approach to problem solving that combines and leverages scalable technology and consideration for client experience and drivers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable interacting at all levels of the business with the ability to articulate complex clinical concepts to non-clinical audiences.
  • Extensive knowledge of the self-funded employer healthcare partner ecosystem preferred.
  • Excellent people management, strategy and execution skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $218,400 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
