RHI Magnesita is looking for a dynamic Head of People and Culture North America to preferably sit in either Tampa, FL, York, PA, or Ramos Arizpe, Mexico.
The Head of People and Culture in North America will be the key HR Leader for the Region. In this position, you will be responsible for all P&C related matters in the region, supported by a region-wide team of leaders, generalists, and specialists. Your team closely collaborates with other regions in global and cross-regional projects. The regional adaptation and implementation of global processes will also be your responsibility, as well as the continuous improvement of the efficiency of the Regional P&C organization. This role will be pivotal in shaping the HR strategy, driving employee engagement, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting our business objectives in our North American Region.
Tasks will include:

Mentorship and Coaching: This role oversees the Talent Acquisition Team, Benefits Team, Human Resource Business Partners, and their respective teams in North America. Ensures each team is supporting the business needs by providing mentorship and guidance to a diverse, high-performing team, focused on achieving goals and fostering long-term growth. This role involves setting objectives, providing training, ensuring resource availability, and creating a positive, innovative team culture.
- Develop and Implement HR Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and objectives. Ensure consistency in HR policies, procedures, and practices across the region.
- Employee Development and Training: Identify training needs and collaborate with appropriate teams to design and deliver development programs. Support career development initiatives and succession planning within the region.

Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance, communication, and support to your team. Be a change agent to drive change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and minimize disruptions.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, ensuring alignment with business goals. Provide guidance and training to managers that you support and your team on performance evaluation, goal setting, and development plans. Foster a culture of continuous feedback and performance improvement.
- HR Operations and Compliance: Ensure HR processes, procedures, and systems are efficient and effective. Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies. Manage employee data, HR Metrics, and reporting for the region.

Mergers and Acquisitions: Support with analysis on the people side of potential mergers and acquisitions. Handle the people onboarding and change management of any acquisitions.

Benefits: Act as a chairman on benefits and pension committees. Oversee the annual pension audits and submission to the proper governmental authorities.
- Budgets: Prepares, secures approval for, and implements operating and expenditure budgets for the HR department and operates within those guidelines. Assists in the preparation of the Company's budget for salary administration and benefits.
- Administrative: Support the annual ISO Audit, approve employee expense reports, and ensure that the proper receipts are attached, and approve time off requests.
About you

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing HR functions ideally in an international corporate environment

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in North America

Proven track record in developing and executing HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Experience in benefits, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management and organizational development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated experience in managing change and driving organizational culture
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is useful
