Head of Strategic Sourcing

Come join us! Willow Innovations is looking to find an exceptional leader for our Strategic Sourcing function - we are open to someone at either the Sr. Director or VP level for this position. In this role, you will lead all of our commercial supply chain activities relating to pre-build materials. This includes custom mechanical parts for our main product lines and accessories, all electronic components, batteries and sub-assemblies. You will build our long-term strategic relationships, develop new suppliers, negotiate all contracts, pricing, and payment terms, and own standard costs across all materials. You will support procurement for all NPI activities as well as maintaining production volumes. You will work closely with planning on our long-range forecasts and financial planning and be ultimately responsible for ensuring that we can build to our plans by having the right parts arriving on-time and at the lowest possible cost.

What You'll Do:

• Own, build, and nurture strategic relationships with existing electronics, custom mechanical, and other mechanical and accessory partners.
• Identify, build, and foster new relationships that will support the future of our business.
• Own all contracts, including pricing, payment terms, quality, timelines, and delivery expectations.
• Own all procurement activities for components, assemblies, and subassemblies for NPI and production
• Plan our spend and work closely with finance to ensure we're hitting targets, we know about any exceptions, and are planning realistically.
• Ensure all parts are where they need to be, wherever that may be across the globe, when they are needed.
• Ensure that we are paying reasonable prices for all materials, and understand the trends that could impact our ability to do so.
• Proactively react to trends to enable world-class performance across all areas of the supply chain.
• Build a team of sourcing and procurement professionals that will continually raise the bar for our performance in this area.
• Work closely with our Contract Manufacturers to ensure CTB and lines are always running.
• Promotes and maintains constructive interdepartmental and inter-company relationships.
• Develop and retain top talent who are highly engaged.

What You'll Bring:

• 12-15 years of experience in supplier management, engineering and manufacturing, with proven leadership experience
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
• Proven experience building the right kinds of relationships across a supply chain
• Expert knowledge of global electronics supply base, contacts, and trends
• Expert knowledge of material and tooling supply base, contacts, and trends
• International outsourced manufacturing and business experience required (including Asia)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes: precision machining, PCA's, cable assembly, manual assembly & semi-automation
• Effective communicator and time manager
• Motivated, results oriented management style
