We are currently looking for a Healthcare Activation Project Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. In this client facing role, you will be working with the Project Management team on a number of activation projects for a local healthcare organization. Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Activation Project Manager is responsible for the development and management of all planning materials for transition, activation, and occupancy plans for staff, patients, medical equipment, FFE, and associated contents. The coordinator will also assist in the evaluation of a medical facility including clinical areas, patient areas, medical equipment, office space, and contents to support the overall planning needs and scope of work.

  • Facilitate with clients and document Project Phasing and Facility Staffing Plans.
  • Facilitate with clients and document required Concept of Operations to include Micro, Macro, and General.
  • Support planning meetings to gather pertinent information relative to activation requirements.
  • Maintain accountability for all planning requirements to include multiple plans, schedule, and execution oversite of the activation plan.
  • Provide consistency and support for the development and implementation of end-state operations in the new facility.
  • Serve as the direct point of contact for all activation-related activities.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of operational issues (facility/design/ construction) that impact end-state operations for technical areas.
  • Track the following: staff and location mapping, department tracking and development, movement coordination and space planning, legal and regulatory issues, etc.
  • Gathers data from all clinical/technical departments and organize into a report detailing recommendations and plans for documentation and planning of work processes for transition and relocation.
  • Assist clinic specialty departments in drafting plans for future work processes based on findings in the initial planning meetings.
  • Assist departments in the formulation of training plans and exercises. Assist divisional staff(s) with their assigned duties including the preparation, review, presentation, and finalization of their departments.
  • Work with clients on welcome packets, orientation exercises and literature, and wayfinding materials.
  • Write, plan, and facilitate day in the life for the clinical staff prior to opening the new healthcare facility.
  • Participate on multiple and diverse healthcare construction projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in MS Office and SharePoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proactive in reaching out to client personnel for needed information. Willing to enforce deadlines.
  • Strong coordination skills are required for vendor scheduling.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and evenings as necessary during project activations.
  • Able to work independently on tasks, but also as a member of the project activation team.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, Business, or a medical-related field preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a medical environment is recommended.
  • Clinical working experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in leading clinical user meetings and presenting to teams and project stakeholders.
