Heavy Assembler

***Heavy Assembler in Delavan, WI starting at $19.28-22.00/Hour dependent on experience

***Shift Premium $2.50 for second shift and $2.75 for third shift

***Up to four weeks paid time off annually

We have a direct hire, full time, permanent opening for an experienced Heavy Assembler in Valves in Delavan. This is an opportunity to work 2nd shift, 3pm – 11pm. GENERAL SUMMARY

Assemble various process equipment such as homogenizers, scraped surface heat exchangers, skidded systems, and other assemblies as required.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Assemble according to prints, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Pick and issue parts as necessary.
  • Perform tests and document results whenever required.
  • Install various electrical components per schematics.
  • Troubleshoot returned Homogenizer rental unit returns
  • Homogenizer Rebuilds

SKILLS

  • Must be able to read, write and process all instructions.
  • Ability to use shop floor computers.
  • Must be familiar with use of hand tools such as saws, wrenches, files, and torque wrenches.
  • Must be able to use various electrical test equipment.
  • Be able to use simple measurement tools such as tape measures, squares, levels, and plumb lines.
  • Must be able to read and understand basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and have good basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an assembly area is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit.


The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. This job may occasionally require loading and unloading extremely heavy parts with the aid of lifting devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.


The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Specific PPE is required within this cell.
