Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 12 months with potential to extend
Work set up: Hybrid (flexibility for remote working, but must be able to work in-office when required)

Our client, a global provider of financial markets data and infrastructure is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to play a vital role in transforming user insights into powerful and intuitive index management tools. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing both functional and visually captivating features that align with employee and customer needs. This role requires a blend of creativity, a keen eye for design, and technical expertise to craft exceptional user experiences. The Senior UI/UX Designer will also collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and development teams to deliver best-in-class user experiences on the internal platforms.

What you will do:

  • Translate complex business requirements into streamlined, engaging, and user-friendly experiences.
  • Leverage expertise in Figma and Maze to create, test, and refine designs.
  • Build and maintain detailed design systems to ensure a consistent and cohesive user interface across platforms.
  • Conduct user research and convert insights into actionable design improvements, ensuring designs are tailored to user needs.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members, ensuring design objectives and user needs are met.
  • Display flexibility and decisiveness, focusing on user requirements over personal preferences.
  • Lead large-scale, complex projects from conception through implementation.
  • Define, prioritize, and address user problems, ensuring the product roadmap aligns with user needs and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design principles.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Maze, and other design tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manage detailed, adaptable design systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Proven track record of managing and executing large, complex projects.
  • Experience in user research methodologies and incorporating research insights into design.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
