Senior Web Graphic Designer

We are seeking a creative and experienced Senior Web Designer with a strong focus on e-commerce design. At Helzberg Diamonds, the Senior Web Graphic Designer is responsible for creating content and following design systems that enhance the overall digital user experience on Helzberg.com. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user experience (UX), user interface (UI) design, and... the unique challenges and opportunities of e-commerce websites. You will work closely with our creative and e-commerce teams to create compelling and effective web designs that enhance our brand’s online presence and drive sales, while staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Works with Brand Creative team and UI/UX Design team to extend and optimize site functionality and navigation. • Works with Copy Writer to develop visual storytelling to functional components. • Ensures content aligns with brand standards, campaigns, style guides and follows UI design. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and channel leads, including developers and marketers, to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions. • Conduct user research and analyze user feedback to inform design decisions and improve user experience. • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas and solutions. • Creates photo, video and GIF assets to skin and support UI/UX wireframe designs. • Presents design concepts to internal teams and key stakeholders. • Identifies and helps troubleshoots UX friction points and tests design solutions. • Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into your work to keep our designs fresh and innovative to track visual storytelling trends. • Ensure all designs are optimized for performance, usability, and accessibility. • Preps and releases final art files to the Dev team. • This role reports to the Associate Creative Director - Digital QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. • Minimum 6+ years of professional web design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce projects. • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript to effectively communicate with developers. • Strong knowledge of UX/UI principles and best practices, specifically for e-commerce websites. • Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, Sketch. • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the user experience. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. • Must possess team spirit and have strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. • Must be detail oriented, possess critical thinking skills and good time management skills. • Hybrid schedules with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Figma. • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven design. • Familiarity with e-commerce platform Salesforce. • Knowledge of SEO best practices related to web design. • Knowledge with current web ADA compliances. • Basic understanding of front-end development
