Personal Lines Account Manager

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious ­­­­­Personal Lines Account Executive to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a virtual position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of client’s personal insurance needs, from information gathering, preparing applications and renewal marketing to policy
  • Explain coverage for each type of policy, suggest specific coverages needed for portfolio enhancement
  • Quoting capabilites- coverage changes, increase, decrease in coverages
  • Identify potential issues and problem solve
  • Service and manage the insurance needs of assigned accounts
  • Maintain all client related information, process all insurance transactions
  • Responsible for agency billing
  • Identify new coverage opportunities to upsale coverage and lines of business
  • Balance accounts and maintain retention
  • Bind coverage within binding authority
  • Maintain expiration list
  • Develop positive relationship with carrier representatives and underwriters
  • Perform thorough renewal analysis
  • Prepare binders, certificates of insurance, schedules of insurance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School degree required
  • New York Brokers License

  • A seasoned personal lines representative, who possess excellent oral and written skills for a high paced organization.
  • Self starter who is able to work in a team environment as well as indepedently
  • Must be proficient with knowledge of Chubb and Travelers Insurance

  • Familiar with E & S carriers
  • Knowledge of Flood insurance
  • Knowledge of Builders Risk insurance
  • Knowledge of AMS360 and or Image Right a plus

  • Knowledge of writing insurance coverage properties owned by Trusts and LLCs
