HR Specialist-Part Time

Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Specialist-Part Time. The HR Specialist will be responsible for recruiting, supporting, and developing talent through our company’s policies and managing procedures.

The ideal candidate is highly efficient, knowledgeable in HR best practices, organized, approachable and is passionate about creating a supportive and engaging HR culture. Must also possess a passion for transforming the healthcare industry from fragmented fee-for-service to coordinated, financially sustainable systems.

This role reports to VP of Legal, Compliance and HR


What You Will Be Doing:

Recruiting and Onboarding-

  • Managing full cycle recruiting efforts, to include posting jobs, candidate sourcing, screening applicants, phone interviews, etc.
  • Working with hiring managers in developing job descriptions, compensation ranges, competencies, profiles, and interview questions
  • Validating pay ranges for new roles, ensuring our compensation packages are competitive for our size and market

Administrative Tasks-

  • Administering end-to-end process of onboarding new hires, including offer letters, background checks, equipment provisioning, new employee orientation, etc.
  • Maintaining human resource information system (HRIS) records
  • Maintaining accurate and complete personnel records. Ensure confidentiality and retention rules are followed.
  • Answering all internal and external HR-related queries and requests
  • Supporting company in educating employees and enforcing company policies
  • Assisting with company-wide communication efforts
  • Organizing and administering quarterly team performance reviews
  • Supporting company with special (ad hoc) HR projects
  • Assisting with and executing on the company’s off-boarding process
  • Driving company culture across distributed teams; organize team events
  • Answering all internal and external HR-related queries and requests
  • Supporting other assigned functions


Experience:

  • 3+ years in HR/Recruiter role
  • Ability to work as part of a small team with strong follow-through
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple demands simultaneously
  • Familiar to employment law and employment equity regulations
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly computer literate with ability to learn new software quickly
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Comfortable in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment


Preferred Experience:

  • Healthcare and/or insurance industry experience
  • PEO and/or staffing industry experience
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification
