Working similar to a business analyst, you will help map and plan the pre-development life cycle. As a member of our development team, you will translate business needs into features, user stories, and product backlog items while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and product implementation. In this role, you are expected to develop trusted partnerships with business and technology leaders and provide a variety of analytical capabilities that contribute to the design and delivery of technology-enabled business solutions, including requirements definition, gap analysis, and process re-engineering.You will work with key business and technology stakeholders to simplify, standardize, automate, and operationalize cross-functional processes and workflows, and support ongoing learning and optimization efforts to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of desired business, operational, and customer experience goals. You will gather and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements and business priorities, define user stories and process flows, and document detailed business requirements, to ensure alignment between the business and development teams.As a Product Analyst, you will rely on your experience and judgment to manage and accomplish the goals of multiple, concurrent strategic and operational initiatives. You’ll demonstrate a mindset of critical thinking, continuous improvement, and self-direction, and contribute to the development of HUB’s product analysis and operational effectiveness capabilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude to achieve these goals is expected. They leverage their experience, judgment, inquisitive nature, self-directed research, and the expertise of business and technology stakeholders and teammates to deliver the best business outcomes for the strategic programs and key initiatives they support.Note: this position is remote and can be anywhere in the US or Canada.In This Role, You’ll Get To:• Support the design and development of strategic, highly visible, and complex programs to expand HUB’s data-driven solutions.• Build collaborative relationships with business stakeholders, data architects, data engineers, data visualization developers, and product owners on cross-functional teams to understand and support HUB’s strategic goals and business priorities,• Facilitate business, functional, and technical requirements, identify business challenges, operational objectives, and priorities,• Collaborate with multiple business and technology teams to ensure goals, scope, objectives, priorities, key results, and standards of quality are clearly understood,• Develop system and functional verification tests, coordinate user acceptance testing, review test results with business and technology stakeholders, and obtain user approvals.• Present to key stakeholders, including executives, project teams, and vendors, communicating critical information and actionable insights to the right stakeholders at the right time,• Support the development of the data and analytics program management framework, including policies, standards, processes, and tools, and the advancement of organizational agility and capabilities across both agile and plan-driven delivery approaches.• Provide other analytical and organizational support to the CTO organization, as required,We want someone who has:• At least 3 years of experience working as a Product or Business Analyst supporting highly visible and complex strategic initiatives, facilitating requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, developing process flows, documenting business and functional requirements, epics and user stories, prioritizing features backlog, etc.• Passion for delivering value to business stakeholders and end-users, with a customer-centric mindset that anticipates business needs and responds positively to feedback,• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, collaborate, and communicate proficiently (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external teams, across all layers of the organization, including virtual team members across multiple time zones,• Experience and comfort presenting to business and executive stakeholders, with the ability to adjust the message to the audience, and explain complex analysis in easily understood ways,• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills through diplomacy, empathetic listening, and trustworthiness and maintaining user confidence,• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Familiar with design thinking,• Strong business acumen and ability to understand business models quickly,• Robust organizational skills and attention to detail,• Working knowledge of data and analytics solutions, service offerings, and current trends.• Highly skilled with MS Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Miro/Lucidcharts, and Azure DevOps, or competitive platforms• Familiarity with industry-standard methodologies and models (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and experience with process management processes & tools.• Insurance background is a plus.• Desire to learn.Education and Qualifications:• Required Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience• Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree (4-year degree) or equivalent work experience• OR Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms such as CAP, ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, and/or AAC• Required Travel: 1-4x per year to meet with team for team building week• Full-Time• Exempt• Permanent Employee• 100% RemoteThis position reports into Chicago and can be based anywhere in the U.S. or Canada (i.e., remote/virtual).
