POSITION SUMMARY

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
E-Learning Development - ~ 80% of role

Work with others in our assets and functions to identify efficient solutions to close gaps and meet our functional and operational business needs

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze needs, design and create engaging and effective content and learning solutions (i.e., instructor-led training, eLearning, job aids, QRGs, experiential learning activities, etc.)

Collaborate with key stakeholders to maximize impact of planned execution, track the effectiveness of content and delivery methods, and incorporate continuous improvements as required

Develop and deliver internal communications related to learning and HR, including general messaging and status reports

Remain aware of all emerging instructional technologies and make recommendations about when to adopt certain systems to continue to offer the best learning experience possible

Design and develop engaging training products across a wide range of solutions (i.e., instructor-led training, eLearning, job aids, QRGs, and experiential learning activities, etc.) for enterprise and asset/function specific needs using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar tools.

Partner with internal stakeholders to understand training needs and scope the expectations and deliverables to be created.

Make design approach recommendations (e.g., build, buy and/or outsource), including the right channels to procure the necessary content to meet or exceed the needs of the project.

Collaborate with a variety of subject matter experts to create and update online, virtual, and live training materials.

Design and convert PowerPoints and in-person training documents into bite-size on-demand training.

Solicit and incorporate feedback from subject matter experts, client stakeholders, and participants to update and improve training content.

Test and debug eLearning courses to ensure functionality and user-friendliness.

Responsible for end-to-end project management (e.g., triaging, scope definition, timing and identification of milestones and deliverables, feedback, and review sessions).

Provide guidance to stakeholders on innovative learning trends and best practices for training.

Build partnerships with external vendors to leverage for training deliverables when needed.
Graphic Design - ~20% of role

Collaborate with internal clients to understand design needs and scope the expectations.

Create, revise, and update a wide range of materials including presentations, infographics, and logos to deliver visually compelling and informative solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
-
In-depth understanding of instructional design models and learning theories
-
Ability to navigate learning management systems
-
Proficiency in content and audio authoring tools, such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop, Vyond, Snagit, and Natural Reader

Clear and effective curriculum-planning skills
-
Strong project management skills
-
1-2 years of experience in instructional design role, eLearning development experience preferred.

Previous oil and gas experience, preferred.

Prior experience with eLearning development tools (e.g., Storyline, Articulate 360), preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a corporate training and development environment.
Education, Training & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field

Proven experience in training program design and delivery

Strong knowledge of competency assurance frameworks

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders
