Human Resources Generalist (Entry Level)

The HR Generalist is responsible for the management of assigned Human Resources processes and assisting in various functions of the department.

The HR Generalist provides support with talent acquisition, processing of new employees, conducting thorough background and pre-hire screenings, data entry and maintenance of employee files.


Education:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university

Duties:

  • Provides customer service through telephone, video conference, and walk in interactions with internal and external customers
  • Completes HR correspondence, appointments, and meetings
  • Coordinates the recruitment and processing of employees, interns and contractors agency wide through correspondence and representing the agency at job fairs, conferences, job offers, etc.
  • Conducts pre-employment background checks and employment verifications on potential employees
  • Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality in all processes and paperwork

Experience:

  • Human Resources college course work or experience

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service focus, excellent time management, organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and email applications.
  • The ability to uphold confidentiality

Must be 21 years old to apply. Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required.
