Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist is primarily dedicated to leading Human Resources activities in the areas of payroll, benefits and LOA administration, compensation, HRIS, onboarding and offboarding.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide generalist support to all departments through developing Human Resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending a course of action.
  • Complete preparation and audit of bi-weekly payroll, upload ACH file to bank partner to ensure accurately and timely processing of payroll. Reconcile post payroll reports, upload 401k file to Fidelity and fund 401k.
  • Oversee the operations of UKG’s HRIS and payroll system, ensure system and data integrity, and provide required data to business partners as requested.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain a thorough knowledge in such as areas as EEO, Fair Labor Standards, Wage and Hour, FMLA, and all other employment related federal, state, and local laws.
  • SME in immigration laws and practices, acting as the company contact for employee sponsorship programs.
  • Support the administration of Employee Stock Option Plan by maintaining accurate employee data in Solium.
  • Administer and explain benefits to new hires / employees, assist new hires through enrollment in UKG, and serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
  • Manage the New Hire Onboarding experience
  • Provide Offboarding documents to employees during their exit interview, enter termination data into UKG and process final pay.
  • Upload invoices from benefit vendors into Avid and apply appropriate code for approval/ payment.
  • Assist with the development of Human Resources policies and recommends operating policy and procedural improvements.
  • Complete month-end reports related to headcount and bonus accruals.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of generalist experience to include payroll, benefits, compensation, and HRIS data maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) software required.
  • SHRM/PHR certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Financial Services or Technology industries a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to support others and deal courteously and effectively with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Must have strong problem-solving and organization skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player who will work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
