Human Resources Manager

ConMet - Canton, NC location is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join a dynamic, people-focused, and results-driven manufacturing team. If you have a passion to be the cultural steward and the strategic partner to the business, let us know more about it!

What You Will Do:

  • Provide overall leadership to the plant HR department, training, and EHS functions.
  • Establish and implement strategic improvements to address employee retention, training & development, safety, and employee relations.
  • Oversee HR-related initiatives and metrics aligned with company and plant objectives and values.
  • Manage recruitment and selection processes.
  • Oversee performance management and talent development processes.
  • Oversee compliance with organizational policies and all applicable federal/state laws. Represent the organization in employment hearings and investigations.
  • Manage Leaves of Absence administration, including STD, FMLA, ADA, and Worker's Compensation.

What you Need to Be Successful:

  • BS In Human Resources from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of Leadership experience in Human Resources and Safety. Experience in a Manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • SHRM SCP certification preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience interpreting Federal and State employment law, benefits, discipline, hiring practices, and worker's compensation regulations.
