SUMMARY
This position is responsible for internal/external recruiting & for helping to ensure we successfully place the right people in the right positions to support our business. Overall responsibility for cradle to grave recruiting & reporting activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supports the achievement of our manpower plan by ensuring the best quality candidates are hired for positions; implements appropriate recruiting, screening and selection methods; ensures appropriate onboarding of new hires.
Partner with Managers & Supervisors to develop and execute a recruiting strategy for positions at all levels in the organization, including:
- Personnel requisition tracking
- Writing robust job descriptions which accurately reflect responsibilities
- Post and track all internal/external job openings.
- Developing advertising strategies, including traditional & untraditional approaches, to attract qualified candidates in an expedient manner
- Conducting phone & on site interviews; coordinating on sight interview process with extended interviewing team
- Facilitating post interview discussion with hiring team
- Drafting & issuing offer letters
- Administering background checks & tracking the successful completion of physicals & drug screens
- Applicant tracking
- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking – days to fill, candidate sources, etc.
- Ensuring all aspects of hiring process is documented & retained
- Develop partnerships with local high schools, trade schools & universities to promote education & awareness about MAHLE & potential career opportunities; utilize this platform to create a talent pipeline
- Work with managers to ensure a training plan is devised & properly documented for all new hires
- Assist with new hire announcement & ensure mentor is designated
- Schedule new hire orientation; facilitate assigned topics
- Manage headcount reporting
- Manage termination process, including exit interviews
- Ensure compliance with all related TISAX, IATF and ISO-14001 policies and proceduresiring several hundred college hires each year
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or related field is required
- Minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience is needed; previous experience recruiting technical positions (e.g. engineering) is strongly preferred; automotive experience is a nice to have
- Must have excellent planning, organizational and facilitation skills in addition to strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & successfully meet deliverables is a must
- Solid time management & prioritization skills are required
- Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team is required
- Demonstrated past record of sound decision making is required
- Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite and social networking is also required
- Must have broad, basic understanding of Federal and State employment laws
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate and sell MAHLE opportunities to candidates. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence, periodicals & professional journals. Ability to write business correspondence and presentations that will be visible internal and external to the organization. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, vendors & customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Proven ability to create and utilize metrics to measure effectiveness and impact of recruiting efforts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. There will be the necessity to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

It is a typical office work environment with moderate noise level.
Occasionally, time will be spent on the manufacturing floor. The environment in manufacturing plants and testing labs is often loud, hot, and with particulates in the air. Working environment may contain potentially hazardous materials such as acids, solvents, oils, and common etchants. In such environments, adherence to PPE regulations is required.
OVERTIME
Employees must be able to work additional hours and/or additional days during the payroll week, which can and will be in excess of forty (40) hours per payroll week. Working overtime is a condition of employment.
TRAVEL
Domestic travel may be required.
