This position will be filled at either the System Analyst 3 or 4 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
The Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division supports Los Alamos National Laboratory's (LANL) enterprise applications and performs software application development support, database development and administration, software quality management, and enterprise application consulting. The Enterprise Business Software Group (SAE-2) provides custom application development, commercial off-the-shelf application implementation, database administration, and adoption/integration with Software as a Service Solutions. SAE-2 supports business processes for financial, personnel, procurement, and human resources IT systems.
On-call responsibilities along with after-hours production work on the existing systems are expected for this position, must be open to a flexible schedule.
System Analyst 2 ($81,700 - $133,100)
Working alongside some of the brightest minds, you will be working on analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. You will be providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing/configuring systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet end-user needs and requirements. The selected candidate will work as a System Analyst in the Enterprise Business Software group (SAE-2) supporting the development, customization, integrations, and maintenance of the Oracle EBS modules, specifically the team that is working with HR related modules of Oracle EBS and other SW solutions on the HR team.
On any given day, you will be asked to perform the following functions:
- Tasks associated with planning and executing system configurations, unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
- Creating technical documentation such as test plans, training aids, business requirements, as well as providing consultation and assistance to end-users.
- Scripting automated functional tests utilizing Eggplant Functional.

System Analyst 3 ($99,200 - $164,100)
In addition to what was outlined at the lower level, at this level you will:
- Role mining and modeling assistance and configuration.

- Self-initiate work with limited supervision, use independent judgment for determining the course of action to accomplish objectives, and use a broad range of advanced technical skills to solve complex technical issues.

What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:

Proven knowledge of a software lifecycle and all its phases, including requirements, design, development, and testing with appropriate documentation
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing SQL.

- Proficient knowledge/understanding and experience in quality control and quality assurance.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Eggplant, Cypress, utPLSQL, etc. Proficient levels of utilizing SQL and/or PL/SQL.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
- Experience with Jira Query Language.

Work Environment:
Work Location: The work location for this position has the potential for remote work. Remote work is defined as working offsite that is greater than 2 hours of the Laboratory location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level).
