Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as point of coordination for US immigration matters.
  • Address questions about internal procedures and immigration processes from employees and cross-functional partner with support from external immigration partner.
  • Support Talent & Acquisition and department managers with visa assessments for candidates; communicate guidance on options, best practices, costs, and processing times.
  • Manage the immigration lifecycle for all new hires to transfer or obtain U.S. work visas (e.g., H-1B, TN, E-3, F-1, O-1) and current employee visa extensions and permanent residency (L-1, Green Card)
  • Collaborate with Global Mobility to manage the relationship with our external immigration counsel to ensure employees receive the best experience that is high quality and timely
  • Joint responsibility to deliver strong global immigration processes with controls and monitoring to ensure the processes are actively maintained and continuously improved
  • Joint responsibility for internal reviews or audits of immigration data, processes, and policies
  • Executes hire to retire retained work in the People processes such as mobilizations (i.e. conducting new hire orientation), change of employment conditions, and demobilizations etc.,
  • Manage Level 2- queries received from Support Center, coordinate the response, escalating with the People BPs or People Operations manager when applicable.
  • Provides tactical support to line managers by administering People policies and procedures. Capable of advising and guiding customers through common human resources issues.
  • Proactively review accurate data entry, letters, etc. by Support Center.
  • Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and support root cause analysis
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of People processes and SOPs
  • Other general support as required
Qualifications:
  • University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Typically 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Working under minimal supervision, able to plan own work and accomplish varied and complex tasks with the ability to discover issues and recommend solutions.
  • Required system & software proficiencies - MS Office required.
  • Oracle and ADP experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential data
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively and support remote/offsite teams
