Position SummaryThe Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering at IU Indianapolis invites applications for multiple open rank tenured or tenure-track assistant, associate or full professor positions in computer science. Appointments will begin August 1, 2025 on the Indianapolis campus. Candidates must demonstrate an outstanding scholarly record of research, exhibited by high-impact peer-reviewed publications and a forward-looking, externally funded research agenda as Principal Investigator (PI).Research expertise in the following areas of computer science will be considered: Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Vision, Cyber security, Cyberphysical Systems, and Quantum Computing. With its formative national role in creating the nation's largest Informatics Program on the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses, the school is the broadest and one of the largest information/computing schools in the U.S. At IU Indianapolis, the school also has strong ties with the health and life sciences in the areas of health data exchange, clinical decision support, consumer health informatics, integrated health information systems, and interactive health information technologies. Owned and operated solely by IU, these high-performance resources are designed to accelerate discovery in a wide variety of fields, including biomedicine, biotechnology, health care, and enable effective analysis of large, complex biomedical data sets (i.e., big data).About the Convergent Bioscience and Technology Institute ( CBATI ) and the Institute of Human Health and Well-Being (H2W) https://indianapolis.iu.edu/research/centers-institutes/The Convergent Bioscience and Technology Institute ( CBATI ) drives interdisciplinary bioscience and technology research and collaboration with industry partners in pursuit of discoveries ranging from wearable and implantable medical devices and sensors to the advanced detection of biomarkers and AI-enabled drug discovery and delivery. With a goal of quickly delivering IU health and sciences innovations from the bench to bedside, the institute will aim to stimulate substantial growth in the disclosure and licensing of inventions, discoveries and innovations, as well as industry partnerships and IU-launched startup companies.The Institute of Human Health and Well-Being (H2W) targets health-focused research that integrates digital technologies to meet community needs and improve health outcomes in Indianapolis.
