Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking to hire an Infrastructure Engineer at Ribbon to standardize how we build, secure, and deploy our infrastructure. Our tech organization is growing fast and we’re looking for a generalist who wants to help establish infrastructure processes and improve our ability to build at scale.

At Ribbon, we’re constantly faced with complex technical challenges. We have infrastructure that powers 100’s of web scrapers, pipelines that process and normalize millions of records daily, a diverse number of ML models predicting accurate data assets, and a distribution architecture that requires customized data querying for every client.

What we’re looking for in this role:

• You have 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or devops
• A strong understanding of AWS core services and cloud security
• Experience centralizing logging, monitoring and observability
• Experience managing production services and databases
• A desire to advise and establish Site Reliability Engineering at Ribbon
• You have the ability to make thoughtful trade-offs between long-term scalability and moving quickly in the short-term
• You care about implementing best practices that ensure data integrity and reliability because you understand how our products meaningfully impact patients downstream

Your day-to-day:

• Help our Data Acquisition team scale our Airflow service to support 100s of data scrapers
• Work across Engineering teams to centralize our Logging infrastructure within Cloudwatch and Datadog
• Collaborate and plan across our organization to help drive our security compliance goals
• Assist our Data Platform team in migrating our Data Warehouse
• Establish and standardize how we build and deploy services across teams
