About the department:
  • The Asset Securitization (ASec) team is a front office commercial unit which offers securitized warehouse lending, and asset backed securities (ABS) capital markets origination and structuring to clients of ING.
  • ASec originates, structures, executes, syndicates, and manages a portfolio of securitization lending deals.
  • ASec administers, and oversees the commercial paper issuances of Mont Blanc Capital Corporation (MBCC), an Asset Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP) issuer which is sponsored and administered by ING.
  • ASec works collaboratively with syndicate, sales and trading professionals within ING Financial Markets, to originate, structure, and execute capital markets ABS issuances.
  • ASec is a global group with teams in New York, Dublin, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Singapore who work as multi-disciplined tribes on local and international transactions in a highly collaborative environment.
  • ASec is responsible for managing its own portfolio of transactions as well as the transactions booked in MBCC as the administration agent, which involves continuous interaction and co-operation with our clients, and with internal stakeholders; in particular with the risk management, financial reporting, and operations departments.
About the position:
  • The position is an associate role within the ASec team of ING New York. The successful candidate will join a highly dynamic and multi-skilled global team of banking professionals with experience in successfully originating, executing, and managing structured finance transactions.
  • The position will be within the portfolio management and MBCC administration group within the Asset Securitization team .
  • The successful candidate will receive all the necessary training and direct coaching and mentorship to develop the skills to be a successful structured finance professional.
  • The position will allow for a significant amount of collaboration and co-operation across multiple countries, business sectors, and departments within ING.
  • The position will involve direct involvement with clients as part of the transaction onboarding process and day to day managing of transactions in the portfolio.
Responsibilities :
  • The Role will be principally Portfolio Management with some Transaction Execution Support. Specifically the role will comprise the following:
    • Performing the review and analysis of client generated borrowing base requests for drawings under the revolving credit facilities;
    • Assist on: annual and quarterly credit reviews, processing modification and amendment requests, and renewals of portfolio transactions;
    • Assist in the initial internal transaction credit ratings and annual credit rating reviews for lending transactions;
    • Periodically interface, collaborate, and respond to information requests from key internal stakeholders including Risk Management, Internal Audit, Treasury department, and Finance department;
    • Assist in the initial creation and periodic inputs to internal reports to ensure compliance with European Securitization regulations.
    • Support the global ASec portfolio monitoring teams in monitoring deal compliance and covenant tracking.
    • Assist in the co-ordination of the MBCC’s ABCP dealers and management of the issuance of commercial paper including maturity dates, and currency risk for the multi-currency ABCP issuer;
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of transaction folders, files, and documentation;
    • Assist the account managers in collecting information for the Know Your Customer requirements with respect to clients
    • Assist in monitoring the portfolio’s commercial performance as well as preparing
Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000
