The Opportunity
Our Policy and Insights team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Washington, D.C. to support ongoing competitive intelligence efforts, including monitoring, research, and risk analysis.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Analyst who has knowledge and experience in competitive intelligence or campaign research. This individual has the proven skills, competencies and capacity to equip TC Energy decision makers with the full background on pressing issues, as well as independently investigate strategic opportunities.
What you’ll do
  • Build out and research several ongoing projects at any one time
  • Identify strategic opportunities, based on ongoing political events
  • Provide key decision makers in TC Energy with all the necessary facts and background information
  • Leverage industry-standard research tools, such as Lexis Nexis
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years related experience
  • Past experience with at least one of the following: using a case law database (such as Lexis Nexis or WestLaw); using a news archive database (such as Lexis Nexis, MeltWater, or Factivia); filing public records requests; media monitoring, curating information from government publications or websites
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Past experience serving on a political campaign (at any level of government)
  • Familiarity with the energy sector
  • Some level of understanding of Canadian politics
  • Extreme attention to detail.
