Business Development Manager

Job Title: Business Development Manager (Member Engagement and Development Manager)

Salary: £45,000-£46,000 pa

Hours per week: 35 hours

Location: This role can be worked 2 days a week from our Head Office in Leicester with the rest of the week worked from home, or candidate's can work remotely.

The successful applicant must have the pre-existing right to both live, and to work in the UK.

About the role
We’re looking for a confident, sales focused business development manager to lead a small team in driving customer recruitment and retention activities.

You will support and work with key decision makers and senior leadership of organisations to deliver strategies by aligning them with our product and service portfolio, creating value for IOSH both financially and reputationally.

What you'll bring

You will be a target driven sales professional who has experience of creating credible, strategic level relationships with global partners. You will have the knowledge and experience to manage and drive a sales culture

The successful candidate will manage a team and will demonstrate excellent leadership skills, demonstrating confidence, perseverance and personal resilience through visible leadership.

You will be an excellent communicator and help promote IOSH’s products and services to its markets, partners and other stakeholders. You will be confident in stakeholder management and building credible relationships, as well as developing and implementing robust sales strategies to drive success.

Essential criteria

  • An excellent level of sales knowledge including understanding sales cycles and creating a sales culture.
  • Proven experience in successfully leading and managing a sales team
  • Proven experience of creating and delivering sales and account management plans
  • Experience of developing and managing budgets, teams and operating processes.
  • Proven experience of market analysis to identify relevant markets.
