Job Description

It’s an exciting time for Learning and Development at IQ-EQ and we need a dynamic and business focused team member to help us achieve our exceptional ambitions for the Group. Our vision as a team is to deliver critical, multi-dimensional, career-defining learning experiences that WOW top talent and accelerate growth. 

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Local Learning & Development Manager to join our busy team, to support initiatives around our global training strategy. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and Key stakeholders in your region to identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that help develop our people and deliver against our strategic priorities. You will be passionate about learning and development, inspiring and supportive, enabling our people to reach their full potential.  

You will support the development and delivery of organisation's talent development programmes (check out our award-winning Ascent programme & Elevate) and digital L&D strategy and promote a culture of self-directed learning to support the delivery of IQ-EQ’s vision and people & culture agenda. You will also be delivering first-class learning and engagement interventions and events, undertaking a wide variety of design and facilitation activities, from 360 feedback sessions to Values and Behaviours workshops, to team development sessions (using MBTI and other approaches).  

Tasks 

  • Proactively identify learning and development needs at an individual, team and organisational level and in partnership with the Global teams' design and deliver innovative and creative interventions to meet these needs 
  • Lead training initiatives and programs, working effectively with colleagues to ensure delivery meets defined deadlines and objectives 
  • Deliver face to face and virtual training, adapting style, content and approach to meet the needs of the audience 
  • Work with the Global L&D admin team to ensure the end-to-end processes for L&D are delivered effectively. Ensure that the LMS and Skills Frameworks systems being utilized efficiently 
  • Proactively identify different ways in which training can be undertaken and delivered, that meets the development needs of our people, whilst promoting blended learning and embedding our training strategy 
  • Assist in design and delivery of all learning and development solutions in conjunction with the relevant subject matter experts 
  • A key member of the Global Talent Team who will work closely with stakeholders to ensure group initiatives and training programmes are delivered locally and embedded 
  • Lead one of Global signature programs to ensure they are consistently delivered and remain up to date in terms of content, delivery and outcomes 
  • Identify and evaluate on an ongoing basis our training programmes’ effectiveness and success 
  • Lead and support professional qualifications programme, managing external relationships and supporting those studying 
  • Clear understanding and experience of measuring the effectiveness of L&D interventions and providing clear ROI metrics 
  • Excellent project management skills and proven track record of leading and delivering on project

Qualifications

Management Experience Requirement:
Although this is an individual contributor role, prior experience in a management position is essential, particularly within the context of Learning and Development. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in managing teams, guiding employee development, and overseeing training initiatives. This experience will provide the necessary perspective to design, implement, and evaluate L&D strategies that align with organisational goals. The candidate should also be adept at navigating organisational dynamics and driving change, as leadership experience is key to influencing and shaping learning programmes that foster employee growth and success.

 

Required Experience  

  • At least 8 years of experience in L&D 
  • Qualified in the use of team development tools, including MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) 
  • Experience of competency frameworks and their use in development  
  • Experienced trainer across all activities in the learning cycle (scoping, needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation) in technical, soft skills and leadership development 
  • Experience in the creation of support materials and training guides 
  • Experience in delivering and engaging audiences though remote training e.g. WebEx 
  • Expertise in delivering training to all audiences including up to senior manager level 
  • Experience of delivering engaging learning interventions demonstrating confidence in facilitation 
  • Experience of partnering business stakeholders with a confident and credible approach 
  • Strong organizational and planning ability 
  • Knowledge of what makes an effective training event (whether face to face, virtual or e-based) and how to design and deliver it 
  • Experience of working in a global matrix environment
