Responsibilities:
The Epic Security Specialist is responsible for establishing Epic security protocols and maintaining the security of the Epic application. They must understand the foundational structures of Epic software, including profiles, roles, menus, and security classes as well as network and device security as it relates to Epic and Epic end users. The Specialists coordinates the security-related activity across physical (buildings, grounds), infrastructure (network, servers, operating system) and application analyst teams. Working in conjunction with application coordinators/analysts, the specialist drives appropriate access decisions which drives the security design. The security specialist works with application teams to design system-level access, such as logout times and leads decisions related to ownership and change delegation guidelines. The specialist reviews and evaluates established systems to ensure adequate compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws or regulations; and help determine the extent of such compliance. Must maintain effective communication with Information Services Security Risk and Compliance team and be able to understand business needs against security concerns and communicate effectively to management.
*This position has the opportunity to work from home. You may be asked to complete training at a Norton Healthcare facility or be able to come to a Norton Healthcare facility for business purposes. Employees in this role must reside in Kentucky or Indiana**

Required:
With Required Degree: Five years in health information systems including security provisioning/risk & compliance
With Associate's Degree: Seven years in health information systems including security provisioning/risk & compliance
Bachelor Degree See Experience
Desired:
A+ (IT Certification)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional
