Summary

Selective Insurance has a great opportunity for an IT Director, Client Services to join our Technology team! This role will provide strategic direction and roadmaps, complex project management and responsible for the daily operations of three unique teams, and oversight for all aspects of enterprise client services, desktop support, help desk support, audio/visual services and any other applicable technical support as needed. The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with sound risk mitigation and decision-making skills, who will lead three departments within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists IT leadership in the management and direction setting for the infrastructure group including setting priorities, coordinating, and the reporting of group activities.
  • Facilitates the development of various client service systems and functions which are designed to provide services in a timely and efficient manner at the lowest possible cost and highest level of availability to IT and the customer.
  • Provide direction and support to management staff and team members for the daily operations of the Client Services department, Desktop, Help Desk area and all AV services, ensuring effective and efficient operations.
  • Identify potential service level problems before they occur via dashboard, metrics, and implement or communicate solutions.
  • Ensure the effective solutions, purchase, installation and implementation of personal compute devices, and various mobile devices as well as other applicable hardware and software for the enterprise
  • Ensure best practices and optimal operational effectiveness for our Help Desk support area, as well as audio/visual services both on site and off site.
  • Trains, develops, supervises, assigns projects to, evaluates and is responsible for hiring/termination of staff to maintain optimum performance of job duties.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
  • Responsible and accountable for the IT budget for the area.

Job Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in client services / help desk management methodologies.
  • College degree preferred in Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • Ability to plan and control projects.
  • Knowledge of current techniques and hardware capabilities of a large-scale computing environment

Salary range: $127,400 - $210,00. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include the candidate's qualifications and experience.
