About This Opportunity:
We are seeking a Product Owner to oversee the definition and delivery of projects from start to finish, to ensure they meet our stakeholders’ needs and preferences and are in alignment with company goals and objectives. The main duties include helping in determining the overall vision of our products, managing various backlog items and deciding which features each product will have according to stakeholders’ preferences. You will do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation. We’re looking for an agile-minded, self-driven technologist to work within our Product team.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a collaborator with your assigned product manager.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders’ and development team(s).
- Analyze the structure of a business to determine how it operates and determine its objectives.
- Analyze, propose, and deliver solutions to help meet company objectives.
- Create artifacts high-level user stories or epics, to describe work that needs to be done within a release.
- Collaborate with the design team to optimize workflow and user experience.
- Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes, workflows and mock-ups
- Ensure system design fits the needs of the end-users.
- Function as the liaison between business users and IT.
- Assist with testing.
- Participate in Sprint Planning and Reviews.
- Provide content and education in support of new releases.
- Assist Product team in creating & prioritizing a backlog of requirements.
- BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Marketing, MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles and process.
- In-depth understanding of industry market conditions and trends.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Successful track record of developing products within deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Creative and innovative thinker.
- A basic understanding of technology components such as front end applications, databases and APIs.
- Extra credit for experience working in the Financial products, prepaid industry, or healthcare
