Position Responsibilities:
IT Service Counter is seeking students to work at the 1st Floor counter. We are looking for intelligent, amicable, and passionate individuals who are adept at problem solving and troubleshooting technology, with a working knowledge of computers, printers, monitor hookups, software and hardware installations. Assist with LamarID PIN resets, LEA password changes, email setup, LEA2Step/DUO Mobile setup and wireless connections on all devices. Assist Students with computer use on lab computers. Ability to guide students on how to print to the lab printers. Ability to install toner, maintenance kits and paper to the lab printers. Ability to diagnose and fix paper jams for lab printers. Provide accurate information to customers regarding request for information or service.
IT Client Computing is seeking students that can provides technical support to students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of computer hardware and software. This position provides on-site support for customers but may also include answering phone calls and emails. Must be able to assist with the setup of printers, webcams, document scanners, office phones, IT equipment moves, and other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
IT Inventory Management is seeking students to assist with the yearly PC Refresh, which is replacing outdated computers with the latest computers for the campus. Also, will be assisting with the IT inventory that is reported on yearly. The student will help with maintaining current inventory levels and perform physical counts of the inventory.
IT Database Services is seeking students to assist with creating and maintaining database structures in a development environment. Modifying and optimizing databases according to your supervisor.
