IT Support Specialist
This role is responsible for providing end-user support on a variety of technical issues relating to information technology systems as well as assisting with implementation and training for new system and software changes. This position works Mon - Fri, AM shift 8am - 5pm, PM shift 5pm - 3:30 am (flexible start and end time).
The IT Support Specialist will:
- Provide technical user support by identifying issues, researching solutions and resolving matters involving computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Follow established workflow procedures for monitoring, tracking and responding to requests received through the IT helpdesk ticketing system.
- Communicate and work effectively with clients and partners to analyze and adapt appropriate course of action based on the existing circumstances.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams and/or 3rd Party Vendors as appropriate.
- Configure and install new or replacement PCs, laptops, network printers, scanners, and other devices.
- Perform imaging & re-imaging of laptops and PC’s.
- Contact hardware vendors for warranty replacement or repair.
- Assist with documentation and training of existing and future systems and software.
Education/Skills/Qualifications
Qualifications for this role include:
- 2-3 years related experience
- Certification or Degree preferred, but experience can substitute for education
- Experience in IT Support services.
- Proficient debugging skills for user level support including laptops, desktops, printers and projectors.
- Strong customer service focus to support users with PC troubleshooting and setup.
- Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, PC Hardware configuration, Windows Server, and networking.
- Experience with Helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Experience authoring technical documentation and diagrams to support the IT environment.
- Sound problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
- Teamwork mindset and temperament to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Effective ability to communication clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
