IT System Administrator

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Axiad is looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven System Administrator to join our IT team.

IT System Administrator will aim to keep the technology and IT resources in our company in good working order and accessible to staff. Work closely with our team, ensuring each situation is thoroughly resolved and all components are available and in working order.

With the increased demand for strong authentication and Identity Management solutions, our company has seen significant growth over the past couple of years and we are looking for motivated individuals to join our team of security experts.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues reported by staff.
• Create documentation for troubleshooting and resolution steps for IT issues.
• Monitor usability and overall health status of the company IT cloud applications (Office 365, Harvest, ShareFile, Zoho, Salesforce, etc.) and local infrastructure (network, VPN, endpoints, servers, Active Directory, etc.)
• Onboard/Offboard employees in Axiad IT systems.
• Perform system backup and imaging, and OS Installation.
• Document IT processes.
• Maintain IT inventory.
• Maintain, manage, and modernize Axiad IT Lab infrastructure.
• Maintain working computer components through repair or replacement.
• Procurement of IT-related hardware and software.
• Assist other teams as needed in short-term tasks/projects such as Axiad solution integrations, logistics, etc.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATION

• 2 to 5 years of experience in an IT role.
• Ideally, expertise with Microsoft online services offerings: Azure, Office 365 suite, with a good understanding of the security aspects of these solutions.
• Good understanding of the technical fundamentals of enterprise networking. Solid knowledge of technologies such as SSH, TCP/IP, IPv4 & v6, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls.
• Solid knowledge of standard enterprise IT systems such as LDAP, MS Active Directory, MS Exchange, IT ticketing systems, VMware ESXi.
• Working knowledge of these OS: Windows 2016/2019 Server, Windows 10, macOS, and Linux, along with some administration experience in all of them.
• Computer Science or an IT-related Associate degree, bachelor's degree, certification in IT fields of expertise, or equivalent experience.

Experience with any of the following technologies is a plus:

• Understanding of PKI and smartcards.
• PowerShell or other related scripting language.

• US Citizenship is a requirement due to the nature of the work and our customer base

$72,000/year to $108,000/year + bonus + benefits
