As NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the team!ObjectiveResponsible for overseeing all accounting transactions, reporting, audits, and record maintenance for a 10 year $3.9B Engineering, Technology, and Science cost plus contract with NASA Johnson Space Center. This position will report directly to and assist the Business Office Manager.The Finance Manager will:• Oversee all accounting activities impacting general/subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable/payable, revenue recognition, fixed assets/depreciation, lease reporting, financial statements and performance• Development and implementation of department's goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budgeting, accounting, travel, and labor timekeeping• Financial management of various government contract types: cost plus, time & materials, and firm fixed price• Report program financial performance based on customer and corporate financial reporting requirements• Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of financial contractual reports to the government• Assist with company financial planning and analysis and monitor cost performance against established plans• Maintain accounting records in accordance with Company, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) guidelines to meet internal and external auditing requirements• Ensure program Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Disclosure statement is current and all program accounting activities are compliant with disclosure statement and FAR Part 31 cost principles• Assist with indirect rate development, maintenance, and reporting• Manage the Incurred Cost Submission to the government• Interface with government audit agency Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Company internal audit firms• Direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls• Perform other duties as required!*!Requisition Qualifications:• Typically requires a BS degree from an accredited college or university and 10 years related experience, or MS degree and 8 years related experience or Ph.D. and 4 years of related experience. Requires demonstrated leadership skills as evidenced by prior supervisory experience. Must be able to effectively communicate with others• Must have a minimum five (5) years working experience in the area of government accountingRequisition Preferences:• BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of progressive and relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
