TeamTreasury is part of the Finance division at Jefferies and has responsibility for all aspects of capital, funding, and liquidity for the Jefferies Financial Group. The Group Treasurer is based in New York and the global team of 25 spans New York, London, Frankfurt and Hong Kong.RoleThe incoming SVP will be a key member of the Treasury leadership team and have full management responsibility for a team of 4 people that generates and delivers analytics and reporting of key internal liquidity management metrics to business unit heads and senior management. Alongside this, the team also involves management and improvement of analytics processes within the Treasury function and alignment of these to the Global Treasury function based in New York.Key Responsibilities- Management and supervision of the Treasury Analytics function, including direct management of 1 SVP- Oversee the change agenda to enhance (i) efficiency of production, (ii) transparency to the business of key liquidity metrics; and (iii) ability to incorporate changes/additions to business model or processes.- Address front-office queries related to Treasury allocations and funds transfer pricing, supporting responses with relevant data and analysis- Working closely with the global team to design and produce analysis required for weekly dashboard and various weekly, monthly and quarterly governance committee reporting for senior management including Board for JEF UK and European entities, as well as ad hoc requests.Specific Responsibilities- Develop a thorough understanding of the firm’s Liquidity Management Framework including the approach to allocating key liquidity metrics to the business and funds transfer pricing methodology- Maintain and develop relationships with the front office, Controllers, Risk and Operations as part of a matrixed organization- Collaborate with Treasury Technology and the global Treasury Analytics team on initiatives to automate existing Analytics processes. Identify areas for improvement and articulate business requirements and change requests- Break down strategic problems, analyze data and information to produce insights and recommendations- Adapt existing processes to support business growth and develop and enhance insightful, value-added analysis to support stakeholdersPerson Specification - Required Background- 10+ years’ work experience with 7+ years in an investment bank / capital markets environment- Treasury / liquidity management experience gained in either a Treasury, Treasury controllers or Treasury risk (2nd line of defense) function- Ability to identify opportunities for enhancing processes / MI and the ability to lead and implement change- Strong analytical skills, highly numerate and strong attention to detail- Strong knowledge of secured and unsecured funding products together with good understanding of Fixed Income and Equity markets / products- Understanding of Operations settlement flows and liquidity impacts- 3+ years experience in leading/managing a team including allocation of responsibilities and management of level of resourcing and capabilities available against level required to deliver responsibilities.- Experience with communicating with stakeholders based in Asia/UK/US- Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment- Work with multiple stakeholders- Proficiency in EnglishDesirable Skills- Self-disciplined, self-starter who can work as a stand-alone function If needed- Knowledge and experience with data preparation and data analysis, using statistical and business intelligence toolsPrimary Location Full Time Salary Range of $175,000 - $250,000The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
