Job Summary:


As a Controls Engineer for JMA Wireless, you will be hands on and work with a multi discipline team to commission new equipment and support existing equipment.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programming (Logix5000 & Logix500). Standard and Safety logic.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HMI interfaces (FactoryTalk & Ignition)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Robot programs (FANUC, UR)
  • Develop, and maintain electrical drawings (Draft Site)
  • Develop sequence of operations for equipment programs.
  • Work with design team to create Risk assessments and develop control circuits/programs to mitigate documented risks.
  • Lead technicians during the electrical/mechanical build of equipment
  • Work with design team for development of new equipment, or upgrades to existing equipment.
  • Coordinating with Maintenance or vendors for the installation, repair, upgrade, or removal of equipment to minimize impact to production.
  • Anticipating and solving equipment problems in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical assistance to production operations and design engineering in facilitating daily demands and requirements for the continued success of the company.
  • Support technicians in investigation and troubleshooting line down situations.
  • Setup and/or reconfigure production cells for new products per the production schedule.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical) or related engineering field.
  • OR Associate degree (Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical) or related engineering field, with 5-plus years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, and organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent technical writing skills and process understanding
  • Ability to be strongly tactical while driving a clear improvement strategy.
  • Strong preference given to candidates with industrial automation background.
  • Self-direction of assigned projects is critical.

$70,000 - $80,000 a year
The US national annual base salary range for this is $70,000 - $80,000. The range includes base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.
