This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who has a knack for numbers, a passion for problem-solving, and a keen eye for detail. As a Permanent Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our company's success by providing accurate cost estimates that will drive our business decisions and strategies. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.Responsibilities• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications, and identifying quantities of materials required for projects.• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop the scope of work for each project.• Maintain a comprehensive database of cost-related information necessary for tendering such as vendors, quotations, forecasts, and historical data.• Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues and develop strategies to mitigate their impact.• Participate in tender review meetings with clients and other stakeholders.• Keep up-to-date with the latest cost management best practices and procedures.• Assist in the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.• Prepare and present cost reports to company management and clients.Qualifications• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator, preferably in the plumbing industry.• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.• Proven experience in preparing and analyzing cost estimates.• Proficiency in MS Office and estimation software.• Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator looking to take their career to the next level.
